GoodsTag partners with Hasso-Plattner Institute
GoodsTag and Hasso Plattner Institute (HPI) are strengthening their ties to form a broader partnership. After joining forces to build “SMile”, a smart last-mile logistics platform recently funded by the German government for the next 3 years, GoodsTag and HPI will look to work together more closely on other projects as well.
“When we started working with GoodsTag on SMile,” says Dr. Mathias Weske, Business Process Technology professor at HPI, “we realized that we could use our business process modelling tools on GoodsTag’s serialization- and cloud-infrastructure for entirely new IoT use cases that go beyond the industrial sector but where unique traceability is also essential.”
With this new partnership, GoodsTag will work together with HPI to develop innovative, decentralized use cases and run them on its is SaaS platform. In addition, GoodsTag will support two Master seminars for HPI students, one covering dual-frequency with the use of both RFID and NFC technology, another covering smart contracts and blockchain applications.
“HPI is unique in the German university landscape. With its design-thinking approach and wealth of IT and business intelligence knowledge, we are excited to be working with its students and staff to develop innovative solutions for cutting-edge topics,” says Oliver Schwarz, CEO and co-founder of GoodsTag.
