Melitta migrates product data management to pirobase
Köln, 13.01.2021. Die Melitta Unternehmensgruppe organisiert den Austausch von Produktdaten mit dem Global Synchronisation Network (GDSN) mit pirobase PIM. Nach Frankreich, Österreich, Deutschland und Belgien sowie den Niederlanden hat Melitta nun auch den Schweizer Markt an die neue PIM-Infrastruktur angeschlossen. Drei weitere europäische Landesgesellschaften sollen quartalsweise folgen.
M2M-Kommunikation mit dem GDSN
Der Spezialist für Kaffee, Kaffeezubereitung und Haushaltsprodukte stellt seine Produktinformationen Handelspartnern über das Global Data Synchronisation Network (GDSN) und den Stammdatenpool atrify bereit. Das pirobase PIM automatisiert hierbei den Austausch über das GDSN mittels Machine-to-Machine-Kommunikation.

„Der automatisierte Austausch von Produktinformationen ermöglicht es uns, den manuellen Aufwand bei Pflege und Publikation von Produktdaten nachhaltig zu reduzieren. Anbindung an SAP und Digital Asset Management
Zwischen den europäischen Landesgesellschaften und ihren Handelspartnern fungiert das PIM des Kölner Softwareherstellers pirobase imperia als Single Point of Truth für alle Produktinformationen. Artikelstammdaten importiert pirobase automatisch aus dem Melitta-SAP. Mediendateien und digitale Dokumente wiederum bindet die Lösung dynamisch aus dem Digital Asset Management System Pixelboxx ein.
Cologne, 13.01.2021. The Melitta Group organises the exchange of product data with the Global Synchronisation Network (GDSN) using pirobase PIM. After France, Austria, Germany and Belgium as well as the Netherlands, Melitta has now also connected the Swiss market to the new PIM infrastructure. Three further European national companies are to follow on a quarterly basis.
M2M communication with the GDSN
The specialist for coffee, coffee preparation and household products provides its product information to retail partners via the Global Data Synchronisation Network (GDSN) and the master data pool atrify. The pirobase PIM automates the exchange via the GDSN using machine-to-machine communication.
More automation in data maintenance and publication
"The automated exchange of product information enables us to sustainably reduce the manual effort required for the maintenance and publication of product data. In addition, pirobase is extremely adaptable, so that we can fully map our complex product hierarchies and logics," explains Friedrich Plöger, IT Coordinator at Melitta Europe, Sales-Europe division.
Connection to SAP and Digital Asset Management
Between the European national companies and their trading partners, the PIM of the Cologne-based software manufacturer pirobase imperia acts as a single point of truth for all product information. Article master data is automatically imported by pirobase from Melitta SAP. Media files and digital documents, in turn, are dynamically integrated from the Pixelboxx digital asset management system.
