Der AIT ScanTunnel ist ein automatisiertes Kassensystem ohne Personaleinsatz für den Betrieb eines 24h-Shops. Er wurde in Kooperation mit Wanzl Metallwarenfabrik GmbH entwickelt.
Das Produkt fährt auf einem Band durch den AIT ScanTunnel. Ein 5-Seiten-Scansystem erfasst die Barcodes automatisch, anschließend wird ein Warenkorb erstellt und an das ERP System geschickt. Während des gesamten Vorgangs kann sich der Kunde in aller Ruhe an einem Info-Tower über den innovativen Scan-Prozess informieren. Zusätzlich zur visuellen Information über die Benutzeroberfläche erhält er bei Fehlermeldungen eine Sprachansage. Die Artikel sind mit einer Warensicherung versehen, die erst durch den AIT ScanTunnel freigegeben wird. Sollte ein Kunde ohne Bezahlen den Verkaufsbereich verlassen, wird Alarm ausgelöst.
Mit modernster Kamera- und Scannertechnik werden folgende Punkte erreicht:

Auf kleinstem Bauraum in einem Bereich von 400 mm x 400 mm, mit einer Leseleistung von über 96 % werden verschiedene Produkttypen – egal ob rund oder eckig – an fünf Seiten bei nur 0,2 mm Modulgröße prozesssicher abgescannt.
Aufgrund individuell anpassbarer Schnittstellen, Software und Benutzeroberflächen ist der AIT ScanTunnel branchenübertragbar und vielseitig anwendbar.
Shopping around the clock with the AIT ScanTunnel
The AIT ScanTunnel is an automated checkout system without staff for the operation of a 24h store. It was developed in cooperation with Wanzl Metallwarenfabrik GmbH.
The product travels on a belt through the AIT ScanTunnel. A 5-sided scanning system automatically captures the barcodes, after which a shopping cart is created and sent to the ERP system. During the entire process, the customer can take his time to learn about the innovative scanning process at an info tower. In addition to visual information via the user interface, he receives a voice announcement in the event of error messages. The items are provided with a merchandise security device, which is only released by the AIT ScanTunnel. Should a customer leave the sales area without paying, an alarm is triggered.
State-of-the-art camera and scanner technology is used to achieve the following:

In the smallest installation space in an area of 400 mm x 400 mm, with a reading performance of over 96 %, various product types - whether round or square - are scanned reliably on five sides with a module size of only 0.2 mm.
Due to customizable interfaces, software and user interfaces, the AIT ScanTunnel is industry transferable and versatile.
